Great food with good wine. Small menu but everyone can find something.
Delicious!
Very tasty portuguese food. Luckily we got a seat outside even without a reservation. We recommend.
Small, romantic and loving restaurant in Frankfurt. I got to know a very attentive and genuine Portuguese manager. The coffee was really good and shows a good quality awareness. I would love to come back!
If you are wrongly snapped at by the boss at the beginning because she thinks you have to put on a mask for 2 steps from the street to the reserved table in the open air and she doesn't wear one herself (it is prescribed exactly the other way around), then you hardly have any more appetite !!! If I hadn't made an appointment with two friends, I would have turned around on my heel !!! I had the impression that the lady wanted to scare away guests and not welcome them. The lady who then put us on was very friendly. The wine was excellent, we were allowed to try it beforehand. In this way, however, it was also avoided that we see beforehand how much it costs (no card shown). We all had the same starter: Bacalao - wild herb salad with watermelon. It was fresh and tasted good but there was hardly any bacalao on it and it was completely salt-free. Whereby I have to mention that I always eat very LOW salt but should be a little on. When we asked for it, we were allowed to wait a long time until we saw small bowls with the coarse S salt was brought (has the disadvantage that it is very difficult to distribute, so I advise you to bring your own salt tax!) For € 12 there was really little on the plate. I can only recommend my main course redfish with grilled vegetables to a limited extent. The fish was absolutely unsalted and only marginally fresh, the grilled vegetables only a bit of papika and fenchen: slightly seared in the pan but certainly not grilled. My friend's octopus with chickpea puree was a little tastier. At least that was flavorful. Lamb in a clay pot (I didn't try it myself, but the other friend was very satisfied) was more aromatic than my bland fish plate. Last but not least, it was very tasty Pasteis de nata but (oh dear !!!) covered by a huge mountain of cinnamon powder (brrrr!) And that totally spoiled it for me. I've never seen it like this in Portugal (especially not in Belem, where they come from) but the service staff said that they supposedly are eaten like this everywhere in Portugal. Then I was in another country and never noticed it. Conclusion: Completely overpriced! The owner is a poison syringe, bring your own salt shaker, make sure to say before dessert that you don't want a MOUNTAIN (no lie!) Of cinnamon powder on the pasteis ... then it's quite acceptable. But if you really want to eat good Portuguese food, you should go to Niederrad in the Tasquina da Jacinta. There it tastes wonderfully authentic Portuguese (albeit a very simple ambience)
Excellent Portuguese cuisine, which was convincing for every dish with a manageable but sufficiently large menu. Here the boss serves and advises herself - and in a very friendly way. Always a pleasure
Outstanding. Friendly. Small and nice. Highly recommended.
A little piece of Portugal feeling, wonderful food and excellent wines from the heart of Obrigada???
We were criticized by the boss in a very instructive and condescending tone that we only order starters and desserts. In front of all guests! We 3 spent 90 euros. I think it's perfectly adequate for a Thursday night out for a place that doesn't serve tea.
Fantastic location! That is how all Portuguese restaurants around the world should be. It was the perfect choice to take a foreign colleague.
My sea bass was as boring as it gets. No wow moment, nothing to remember.. just eat, pay and leave.
I love Alma as it is small, cosy, romantic and the food is delicious. The octopus salad is so yummy. The octopus is so tender one of the best ones you can find in Frankfurt. The tuna was perfectly cooked and the chicken moist and falling off the bone. The waiter is very friendly and her wine recommendation was perfect for our courses.
4 stars for the really good food (combination, quality, taste) and the cozy atmosphere. A little more flexibility in a small special request in the rather clear map, I would have liked. And at 7.50 for a standard red wine I would not get used to (yet ...) ...
Rarely that I forgive full 5 stars but here I did not even have to think about it. The food was extremely delicious and was served appetizing. The Bedinung very friendly and very clean and lovingly decorated. The prices are a bit high but the food is definitely worth it. That was a culinary experience.
Noble Portuguese, very fine selected food, good wine Meat, fish all excellent
Delicious Portuguese cuisine in a nice ambience. A small fine card that changes regularly. Attentive and friendly service. Excelente Portuguese wines. We felt very well, will definitely return to this small restaurant in the north end
Not a big menu, but the food never disappoints. Excellent wines and service. Highly recommend.
Very nice! And very nice staff
Excellent food, excellently prepared. A super nice team. We felt very, very well and would gladly come back.
Unfortunately, very rude. We were advised to go rather than just order a starter (plus dessert). Unfortunately never again.
The food is fantastic. Friendly service and a real traditional feel to the restaurant. Be care of the piri piri, it's really good but really hot ?
Excellent place, you have to try!
Perfect dinner!
Very good authentic food, elaborately prepared, at reasonable prices. Excellent wines, which the landlady skillfully recommends. Pleasant atmosphere. Few seats, you have to book. A jewel in the Northrend!
Its good but too expensive. The dishes are enormous
Chic little restaurant with high quality dishes. Price already in the upper area, but the main course was a very large portion. Good red wine.
Delicious food, great wine and family atmosphere ...
Top
Great food and environment. We had a great night!
A fantastic restaurant in the Northrend! Those who like authentic Portuguese cuisine should go to the Alma. The food is excellent, the restaurant is also very well designed with a mixture of Portuguese and new design and the service is extremely friendly.
